BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana baseball (3-3) hits the road for the third consecutive weekend to open the 2015 season, this time to face 2014 NCAA Super Regional participant College of Charleston (4-2) at The Ballpark at Patriots Point.
Indiana is 3-3 after going 1-2 at last weekend's First Pitch Invitational, which concluded with IU's 7-6 walk-off win vs. Xavier in the ninth inning. The Hoosiers scored the winning run on a throwing error off of Brad Hartong's sacrifice bunt that allowed Craig Dedelow to score from first base.
IT"S EARLY
••• IU started 2-5 in 2015 before finishing the regular season 38-12 overall, going on to win the Big Ten Tournament and earn the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
••• IU's three-game losing streak marked just its third skid of three-plus games since the start of the 2013 season and just the eighth time overall that the Hoosiers had lost consecutive games.
