Opening statement...
"For us, we were right in it at halftime and after a tough start our guys adjusted to not having James (Blackmon Jr.), which really became a just-before-the-game type of decision. He tried to go and today was his first day. He didn’t practice these last two days, so he tried to go on our walk through today and then he tried to go before the game, but it just wasn’t there with his ankle, which he injured in Saturday’s game against Rutgers."
"We got off to a slow start, we got it right back where it needed to be, and then we just didn’t have the same activity and aggressiveness that we needed to have to start the second half. Certainly it’s very easy to look at it in the sense of how we finished the game. Whatever time that was where I think we scored 30 points on 13 possessions or some number like that. I wish we had that continued aggressiveness and activity on the defensive end, or else the second half may have been a different story. Our guys continued to battle and we learned a little bit about that. We also learned that you cannot let a very good team like Wisconsin play at their comfort level throughout the game. We needed to make it a tougher game on the ball. Certainly their size is their size, and our size is our size, but man zone combination defense, whatever it was, we needed to do a better job of pressuring the ball and making it tougher for the ball to get inside. We didn’t do as good of a job in that. They took advantage of that. Good win for them."
