Hoosiers Wrap Competition at NCAA Zone Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three Indiana divers added the platform event to their NCAA schedule on the final day of competition at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
Freshman Jessica Parratto, already qualified on the 1-meter and 3-meter, cruised to the platform title with a score of 677.20, more than 100 points ahead of the second-place finisher. Junior Lacey Houser also competed, placing 17th with a score of 392.75. While Houser did not qualify on the platform, she will compete on the 1-meter and 3-meter at the NCAA meet.
Freshman James Connor won the men's platform event with a score of 935.80. Placing fifth on the platform was sophomore Michael Hixon with a tally of 709.05. Both divers had already earned invites to the NCAA meet in the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Also competing on the platform was freshman Cody Coldren, who finished 12th with a score of 575.70.
The Indiana women head to the 2015 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, March 19-21 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. A total of 12 IU swimmers, two relay alternates and two divers will compete.
The men's NCAA Championships take place March 26-28 in Iowa City, Iowa. The Hoosiers have qualified seven swimmers; four relay alternates and two divers.
