Vea, Weber Pace Hoosiers To 8th Place Finish

DURHAM, N.C. -- To wrap up it's spring break trip, the Indiana men's golf team traveled to the campus of Duke University to take part in the Blue Devil Spring Shootout at the Duke University Golf Club. The tournament was an 18-hole event and the Hoosiers finished in eighth place with a team score of 312.
Freshman Matt Weber and sophomore Keegan Vea paced the Hoosiers with rounds of 5-over par 77, leaving them in a tie for 29th on the individual leaderboard. For Vea, it was just his
second event of the season while Weber appeared in his fifth tournament.
Nicholas Grubnich, a senior from Crown Point, Ind., carded a round of 78 to place in a tie for 35th while Christan Fairbanks and Brendon Doyle both registered rounds of 80 on the day.
The Hoosiers will return to tournament action April 3-5 when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club hosted by Vanderbilt University.
