BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Seven Hoosiers worked out on Indiana's Pro Day Monday morning. Defensive back Tim Bennett, linebacker David Cooper, long snapper Matt Dooley, linebacker Flo Hardin, defensive lineman Bobby Richardson, running back D'Angelo Roberts and wide receiver Shane Wynn showcased their skills in front of 23 NFL teams.
Wynn ran a 4.29 40-yard dash, which would have ranked second overall at the 2015 NFL Combine. The Cleveland, Ohio, native added a 36-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot broad jump.
"Today went pretty well," Wynn said. "Everything was routine. I've been doing it for a couple of months, now I just had to do it in front of the scouts. Everybody did a good job."
Richardson led all Hoosiers with 24 reps on the 225-pound bench press. He also worked out at the Combine, where he posted a 5.16 40 time, a 32.5 vertical, a 7.57 in the 3-cone drill and a 4.41 in the 20-yard shuttle.
"I feel like today went well, not just for me but for everybody," Richardson said. "We all make sure we have fun, we all came in and got the times we were looking for. We had a chance to show what we had in front of a bunch of teams. I think it was pretty fun."
Roberts paved the way with a 37-inch vertical jump (would have tied for seventh among running backs at NFL Combine) to go along with his 10'5" broad jump (tied for fourth), while Bennett finished with the top broad jump (10'10", would have tied for third among cornerbacks at NFL Combine) and second-best vertical (36.5).
Dooley worked out for the Arizona Cardinals over Spring Break and performed drills in front of the scouts along with Cooper (22 bench press reps) and Hardin (20 bench press reps).
Below were the day's top performers in each category:
40-Yard Dash: Shane Wynn, 4.29
Vertical Jump: D'Angelo Roberts, 37'0"
Broad Jump: Tim Bennett, 10'10"
225-Bench: Bobby Richardson, 24
Running back Tevin Coleman will hold his Pro Day on Wednesday, April 15, in Bloomington.
