NEWBURGH, Ind. -- Senior Nicholas Grubnich is leading the Indiana men's golf team after three rounds at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship, posting a total score of 6-over par 222 to tie for 21st on the individual leaderboard.
As a team, the Hoosiers are in 12th place with a 39-over par score of 903.
Sophomore Keegan Vea finished his second round on Saturday morning, carding a 79 before rebounding for an 2-under par 70 in round three. He is tied for 25th with a three round total score of 223 (+7). In his third round, he started on the back nine and went out in 2-under par 34 and then logged three birdies and three bogeys on his back nine.
For Grubnich, he posted a 76 in his second round early on Saturday before coming back with a 72 in his third round. His third round saw him record two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and the back nine.
The other two scores that the Hoosiers took in round three came from Max Kollin and Brendon Doyle, both of whom posted a score of 77 in their third round. Will Seger's round of 79 was the score the Hoosiers did not take.
Illinois takes a 32-stroke lead over Ohio State heading into Sunday's final round.
