Hoosiers Conclude 121st Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA -- The Indiana track and field team wrapped up competition at the 121^st Penn Relays Saturday at Franklin Field.

In the men's 4XMile Championship of America, the Hoosiers finished in eighth-place in a time of 16:28.57 for the team of Josh Roche, Matthew Schwartzer, Kyle Duvall and Owen Skeete.

Senior Samantha Gwin anchored home in 2:08.85 to help the IU women to a seventh-place finish in the 4X800m Championship of America. The Indiana men finished in 11^th place in the men's 4X800m Championship of America. Freshman Daniel Kuhn ran the best split for the team at 1:49.28.

At the Drake Relays freshman Eric Claxton finished second in the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 8:57.67. That time will move him into 29^th in the NCAA East Region in the event.

Next up the Hoosiers will host the Billy Hayes Invitational on Saturday May 2 at Billy Hayes Track.
