NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- -- Indiana University senior golfer Elizabeth Tong posted a 74 on Friday to move up the leaderboard at the 2015 NCAA Women's Golf Regional at the Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Tong is currently tied for 51st in the field and will tee off at 8:45 a.m. ET from No. 10 for the final round of action.
After not carding a birdie in Thursday's first round, Tong came back with three birdies on Friday. She was 1-over after the first nine holes of play thanks to back-to-back birdies on the par-4 16th hole and the par-5 17th hole.
After making the turn with a bogey on one, Tong responded with pars on holes two, three, four and five, before adding her third birdie of the round with a three on the par-4 sixth hole. Another par followed on seven, ending with a bogey on the par-4 eighth hole and par on nine. That performance moved Tong more than 20 spots up the leaderboard.
Play at the regional concludes Saturday. The top six teams and the top three individuals not on those teams will advance to the finals at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida (University of South Florida, host), May 22-27.
