Pearson Named IU Scholar-Athlete of the Month

The freshman earned the honor for the month of April

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Field hockey freshman Taylor Pearson has been named an Indiana Athletics Scholar-Athlete of the Month for April. Pearson joins football's Wes Martin in the honor.

"I am proud of the improvements Taylor has made academically during the spring semester," said Lorian Price, Director of Academic Services. "After struggling in the fall with balancing college curriculum and being an emerging star of the field hockey team, Taylor has now finished the spring semester with top marks in all of her courses."

"It has been rewarding to see Taylor's work ethic improve and to witness her grow as a student-athlete. I look forward to continuously seeing great results for Taylor both in the classroom and on the field hockey field," said Price.
