BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After going five sets to beat Bowling Green earlier this season, the Indiana volleyball team needed only three sets as they captured a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-15) victory against the Falcons on Saturday at University Gym.

The Hoosiers (6-2) used a balanced attack with 10 players recording at least one kill, led by junior Allison Hammond with eight kills. Seniors Awele Nwaeze and Amelia Anderson each contributed seven kills.

Junior Megan Tallman, honored prior to the match for passing 2,000 career assists, tallied 27 more assists and ranks ninth on the Hoosiers all-time list for career assists with 2,054.

The Hoosiers used their balanced offensive attack to hit at a .380 percentage, while holding the Falcons to a .051 hitting efficiency. The Indiana defense forced Bowling Green into 22 attack errors, some of which came from seven IU blocks.

Up next the Hoosiers take on Northern Arizona at 7:00 p.m. with the Indiana Invitational tournament title on the line.
