Indiana Postgame Notes vs. Wake Forest
• Indiana is 4-0 for the first time since 1990 and the sixth time in school history.
• Overall, the Hoosiers have won five straight games for the first time since 1987 (five). The streak is tied for the sixth-longest in program history.
• Jordan Howard recorded his 15th career 100-yard game and his ninth 150-yard game. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in eight straight games dating back to last year. The junior finished with 168 yards on 33 carries (5.1 average) and a touchdown.
• Senior Nate Sudfeld became the fourth quarterback in school history to reach 40 career touchdown passes. Sudfeld finished 19-of-34 for 205 yards and two touchdowns, giving him 41 for his career, which ranks fourth in school history. The Modesto, Calif., native has 14 career multi-TD games and three this season.
• Sudfeld also moved into sixth place on the IU career passing yards list (5,449), passing Trent Green (1989-92), and fifth in career completions (423). He has 697 career pass attempts, which ranks seventh all-time at IU and his 5,558 yards of total offense ranks seventh.
• Sudfeld's 205 passing yards give him 14 career games of 200-yards or more through the air, tying him with Trent Green for the fourth-most in a career at IU.
• Sophomore Simmie Cobbs, Jr., turned in his top performance as a Hoosier with a career-high seven receptions for a career-best 75 yards to go along with a 6-yard touchdown, his second in as many weeks.
• Ricky Jones capped the Hoosiers 10-play, 92-yard drive in the second quarter with a 28-yard touchdown grab, his third of the season. The junior finished with two catches for 43 yards.
• Indiana has four TD drives of 90-or-more yards this season.
• Sophomore Devine Redding carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards. Together, Howard and Redding have rushed for over 200 yards in three consecutive games.
• The Hoosiers have had a 100-yard rusher in 16 of their last 17 games and have rushed for over 200 yards in 14 of their last 16 games.
• Indiana's defense delivered six sacks, the most for an IU team since seven at Illinois on Oct. 27, 2012, and eight tackles for loss, both season-highs.
• Sophomore safety Tony Fields recorded his first career interception and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown. It is the Hoosiers second INT return of the year – Jameel Cook, Jr., 96-yarder against Florida International.
• Indiana has eight takeaways in 2015 resulting in 48 points. The Hoosiers are plus-6 in turnover margin and own four interceptions and four fumble recoveries.
• Sophomore linebacker Tegray Scales carded his first two sacks of the season, a career high, and has four sacks in his career. He led IU with nine tackles. The last time an IU player had two sacks in a game was Bobby Richardson (3.0) against Indiana State to open the 2014 season.
• Senior defensive end Nick Mangieri provided a strong effort with five tackles, one sack and a career-high-tying two pass breakups. Mangieri has three sacks in 2015 and eight in his career.
• Redshirt sophomore linebacker Marcus Oliver was second on the team with seven tackles in the game, including his first career sack.
• Fifth-year senior bandit Zack Shaw collected his first sack of the year and the sixth of his career to go along with four stops.
• Darius Latham set a career-high with three tackles for loss with one sack and five stops. The junior defensive tackle also made his first career appearance at fullback, paving the way for Howard's score. Latham has a pair of sacks in 2015 and 5.5 in his career.
• In the first quarter, he Hoosiers forced Wake Forest into three three-and-outs, -2 rushing yards and 47 total yards.
• IU has now outscored its opponents 51-0 in the third quarter in 2015.
• Redshirt sophomore Griffin Oakes hit a 30-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to give IU a 17-10 halftime lead. Oakes is 7-of-8 on the season and 20-of-26 (76.0 percent) in his career. His 20 field goals are 10th on the Hoosiers career list. The Greenwood, Ind., native added four touchbacks on five kickoffs and has 22 on 29 kickoffs in 2015.
• Today marked the first meeting between Indiana and Wake Forest.
• Tight end Michael Cooper, wide receiver Ricky Jones (second time this season), defensive end Nick Mangieri (second) and nose tackle Adarius Rayner (second) served as Indiana's game captains.
• The Hoosiers wore the script Indiana two-tone helmet for the first time ever.
