Hoosiers Travel to Northwestern on Sunday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University men's soccer team will head to Bridgeview, Ill. to face Northwestern in a Big Ten match on Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET start at Toyota Park – the home of the MLS' Chicago Fire.

SETTING THE SCENE
• After beating Evansville 3-0 on Wednesday, the Hoosiers will look to continue its winning way on Sunday when the team plays at Northwestern.
• The Hoosiers enter Sunday's match with a record of 0-2-0 in Big Ten play, falling on the road at Penn State and to Rutgers in Bloomington.
• In non-conference play, IU has posted a record of 4-1-1, with wins coming over Evansville, No. 24 South Florida, UAB and St. John's.

NEWS AND NOTES
• Femi Hollinger-Janzen was named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award. From the list of 30 candidates, a national media committee will select ten finalists for the 2015 Senior CLASS Award in October.
• Indiana sports one of the nation's youngest rosters in 2015 with 20 underclassmen on the team. The Hoosiers are tied for the ninth-youngest team in the country and rank as the youngest squad in the Big Ten.
• Despite the youth, Indiana returns 21 players from last year's roster, including 19 letterwinners from a year ago.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
• In 2015, the Wildcats (3-3-1, 1-1-0) have recorded non-conference wins over Central Florida and UIC, while in conference play, Northwestern has beaten Ohio State and lost on the road at Michigan.
• Prior to the season, Northwestern was selected to finish sixth in the Big Ten in a poll conducted of the league's coaches.

SERIES HISTORY
• In the overall series between the two schools dating back to 1973, Indiana holds a record of 25-2-6 over the Wildcats.
• The last six matches have been as close as they come between the two programs, with five ties and an IU win in 2013.
• Last season, the two teams met twice, with IU tying the Wildcats in the regular season, 1-1. In the Big Ten Tournament, the squads again tied, with Indiana advancing to the semifinals in penalty kicks, 5-4.

FEMI ON FIRE
• Femi Hollinger-Janzen is as hot as they come, scoring five goals over the course of the last five matches for the Hoosiers.
• The senior has four goals in his last three matches after scoring twice in IU's 3-0 win over Evansville on Sept. 23.

HOOSIERS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
• In the national rankings released on Friday, Indiana ranks sixth in the nation in shots per game at 17.25.
• Individually, Femi Hollinger-Janzen ranks 19^th in the country in total goals (5) and 21^st in the nation in game-winning goals (2).
• Tanner Thompson ranks fourth in the country in total assists with five.

IU IN THE BIG TEN RANKINGS
• In the Big Ten, the Hoosiers are second in the league in assists (12) and third in goals per game (1.38).
• Individually, Femi Hollinger-Janzen is tied for first in goals (5), second in shots (28), second in shots per game (3.50) and tied for second in points (10)
• Tanner Thompson leads the Big Ten in both assists (5) and assists per game (0.63).

WEBB IN GOAL
• Colin Webb continued his strong play on the season against Evansville on Sept. 23, recording his third shutout of the season.
• In the match, the defense in front of Webb was stout, not allowing the Purple Aces to get a shot on goal.
• For his career, Webb has recorded 13 shutouts.

BIG TEN DOMINATION
• The Hoosiers are 94-25-13 in regular season matches, 26 more victories than the next closest team (Penn State).
• IU has won 12 Big Ten tournament titles, sharing the 1995 crown with Wisconsin.
• Indiana has also been crowned regular season champion 14 times, including nine-straight seasons from 1996-2004. IU won back-to-back regular season titles in 2006 and 2007 and re-claimed the regular season crown in 2010.

BUCKMASTER VS. BUTLER
• Freshman Rece Buckmaster made the most of his first collegiate start at Butler on Sept. 16, scoring his first career goal.
• Scoring goals is not new to Buckmaster, who helped lead Canterbury to a pair of state titles. The Auburn, Ind., native had a goal and an assist in the 2012 IHSAA state title game.
