Indiana’s King Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week

CHICAGO – Indiana University freshman swimmer Lilly King was named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
The league honor is the third this season for King, who was named swimmer of the week on December 9 and Big Ten Rookie of the Week on November 11.
This past weekend in Atlanta, King continued her dominance in the breaststroke events. The Evansville, Ind. native helped guide the Hoosier to victories over Georgia Tech and Duke at the GT Quad Meet by winning both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
In the 100 breast, King touched the wall first in a NCAA B cut time of 1:00.91, while in the 200 breast, the rookie won with a NCAA B qualifying time of 2:11.97.
