Pierre, Sanjuan Lead Hoosiers on Day Two of Powerade Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. – Freshman Elisa Pierre and senior Ana Sanjuan posted 1-over par performances as the Indiana Women's Golf team shot a collective 297 on day two of the Powerade Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club on Monday.
Pierre posts her best round to-date as a Hoosier, shooting a 73 in the second of three rounds complete with two birdies on the back nine and in a tie for 65th overall. Sanjuan matched Pierre's performance with her own 73 and finished the day with a combined 148 (T58).
Junior Alix Kong continues to lead IU overall as she posted a 74 and now holds a two-day score of 145 to sit in a tie for 31st overall. Senior Theresa-Ann Jedra also posted a two-stroke improvement on Monday, shooting a 77 as she finished up the round by birding hole 17. Junior Pear Siriko rounded out the IU lineup with an 87 and combined two-day score of 170 (107th).
The final round of the Powerade Cougar Classic wraps up tomorrow morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
