- Indiana has now won 19 straight games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
- Saturday's victory marked the seventh season in a row the Hoosiers have started 3-0.
- IU outrebounded the Flames 55-20, which is the largest rebounding margin (35) since 1972.
- Indiana's 46 defensive rebounds was the most by a team in Tom Crean era.
- The Hoosiers held Liberty to 29.7 percent shooting, the eighth time a team has been held to under 30 percent shooting in the Tom Crean era.
- Indiana opened the game on a 15-2 run over the first 7:55.
- In the first half, Indiana exploded for a 24-0 run that covered 7:57, extending the Hoosier lead from 15-7 to 39-7.
- IU held a 45-19 lead at the half.
- Juwan Morgan made his first career start for Indiana, tallying seven points and eight rebounds.
- James Blackmon Jr. notched 20 points and tied a career high with nine rebounds.
- Blackmon recorded at least 20 points in each of IU's first three games, the first Hoosier to do so since Yogi Ferrell in January of 2015.
- OG Anunoby chipped in 10 giving him double-figures in all three game this season. He scored in double figures five times all of last season.
- Anunoby recorded a double-double, his first of his career, adding a career high 11 rebounds, while swatting two shots.
- Freshman Grant Gelon scored his first career points, scoring five points on 2-for-2 shooting.
- Indiana's 39-point victory was the largest margin of victory since IU defeated McNeese State 105-60 (45 points).
- Tim Priller scored a career high three points while tying a career high with two rebounds and one blocked shot.
- Thomas Bryant is three-for-three winning the opening tip this season.
- Robert Johnson added 13 points, giving him double figures in all three contests this season. Johnson dished out three assists.
- Curtis Jones scored six points and hit all four of his free throw attempts.
- Josh Newkirk tied a career high by hauling in five rebounds. Devonte Green recorded a career high two assists.
- De'Ron Davis notched career highs in rebounds, four, and assists, two, in the victory.
- Freddie McSwain Jr. saw eight minutes of action, Zach McRoberts played five minutes and Quentin Taylor played two minutes.
