Martin Earns Academic All-District Recognition

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Wes Martin has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team, it was announced today. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
All honorees will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballots, where first-, second- and third-team All-America selections take place. The Academic All-America teams will be selected by vote of the Academic All-America® committee and CoSIDA Board of Directors, announced November 28-December 1.
Martin, a criminal justice major, holds a 3.70 grade point average. He has started all eight games this season at left guard.
The Hoosiers (4-4, 2-3 Big Ten East) are second in the Big Ten in passing offense (282.9, 26th nationally), third in total offense (456.5) and first downs (178), and fourth in completion percentage (60.3), passing efficiency (135.1) and yards per completion (13.3).
Martin earned his first all-district honor. The West Milton, Ohio, native collected Academic All-Big Ten honors one year ago.
