IU Alumna Vrooman to Appear on WISH-TV News Tonight

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Indiana University All-American and 2016 Olympic hopeful Lindsay Vrooman will be featured on WISH-TV's 6:30 news broadcast on Thursday evening.
Vrooman, one of the top distance freestyle swimmers in the world and a 2014 IU graduate, will be swimming in her second Olympic Trials later this year in hopes of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Vrooman was the national champion in both the 400m freestyle and the 800m freestyle at the 2015 Phillips 66 Nationals.
Vrooman also won gold in the 800m freestyle and silver in the 1500m and 400m freestyle at the 2015 World University Games. Last year, Vrooman was ranked 11th in the world in the 800 meter.
