Indiana Women Send Eight to NCAA Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University women's swimming team will send eight student-athletes to the 2016 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta on March 16-19.
Diving qualifiers will be determined next week at the NCAA Zone C Championships in West Lafayette, Ind.
The Hoosiers have recorded some impressive times this season, earning eight individual top-10 seeds at this year's NCAA Championships. In total, IU's eight qualifiers was second-most in the Big Ten to Michigan's nine.
Leading the way for the Hoosiers is freshman Lilly King, who earned the No. 1 seed in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Classmate Miranda Tucker is the No. 3 seed for the 200 breast and the No. 5 seed for the 100 breast.
Senior Haley Lips earned the No. 4 seed in the 500 freestyle, the No. 9 seed in the 200 freestyle and the No. 10 seed in the 1,650 freestyle. Gia Dalesandro will be the No. 10 seed in the 200 butterfly.
Additionally, Grace Vertigans, Holly Spears and Gabriela Rajic will swim for the Hoosiers as relay-only participants.
