PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Indiana Baseball (3-7) walked off with a 2-1 victory over the Butler Bulldogs in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday morning. The deciding run came on a dropped Isaiah Pasteur fly ball to left, scoring sophomore Colby Stratten from second.
Senior left handed pitcher Caleb Baragar put together a strong starting performance, going seven innings where he allowed just three hits while striking out eight and walking two. Baragar's effort lowered his season ERA to 2.00.
On the offensive side, freshman Ryan Fineman capped off his strong weekend at the plate with a team-leading two hits on the afternoon and set up the eventual game winning run with a single in the ninth. The freshman upped his season batting average .423.

After Fineman had a quality at bat that moved the runner to third, sophomore Isaiah Pasteur gave Indiana another quality at bat as he grounded out to score Dedelow.
After five scoreless innings, Butler knotted the contest up at one as Indiana surrendered a tough run. With one out, the Bulldogs' had a baserunner that reached on a base hit. That runner would eventually move to third with two outs and scored on a base hit to left field.
After junior Thomas Belcher pitched a strong, scoreless ninth inning, Indiana manufactured it's game-winning run in the bottom half of the frame. With one out, Fineman reached on an infield single and then advanced when junior Tony Butler was hit by a pitch. That led to Pasteur's at bat where he lifted a fly ball to deep left, where the outfielder eventually dropped the ball, scoring the pinch running Stratted from second.
The Hoosiers will open up their home schedule on March 11 with a three-game series against Western Carolina.
