
IU Strong on Second Day at Speedo Sectionals

GENEVA, Ohio – The Indiana University men's and women's swimming teams continued competition at the Speedo Sectionals in Geneva, Ohio on Friday.
200 Freestyle
The Hoosier men had a great showing in the A Final of the 200 freestyle. Andrej Ivanovic led the way, winning with a time of 1:53.06 that dropped two seconds off his morning prelim time.
Trey Hubbuch tied for fourth place with a mark of 1:55.61, while Jack Collins placed sixth in 1:55.66.
For the IU women, Delaney Barnard cut two seconds off her prelim time on Friday morning, placing second in the A Final with a time of 2:03.01.
100 Butterfly
In the A Final of the 100 butterfly, Indiana's Christine Jensen placed third overall with a time of 1:02.39.
400 IM
The Hoosiers had another great showing in the A Final of the women's 400 IM. Reagan Cook placed fourth, cutting almost two seconds off her morning prelim time with a mark of 5:01.64. Shelly Drozda took fifth overall with a time of 5:02.45.
The Speedo Sectionals will continue on Saturday at the SPIRE Institute Aquatic Center in Geneva, Ohio.
