Two Hoosiers Inside Top 20 At Big Ten Championship

NEWBURGH, Indiana – The Indiana men's golf team carded a team score of 302 on Saturday and moved up one spot to 10th through 36 holes of the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship at Victoria National Golf Club.
Redshirt freshman Jake Brown and junior Andrew Havill once again matched scores on Saturday, this time both posting 1-over par rounds of 73. But they took different routes to get there.
With all of the Hoosiers teeing off No. 10 to start their round, Brown went out with eight pars and one double bogey on his first nine. But on the front nine, he was able to tally a trio of birdies to offset two bogeys. He is 1-over par for the tournament and tied for 19th individually.
For Havill, the scorecard was nearly a clean one, as she registered 15 pars, one birdie and two bogeys on his way to 73. He joins Brown in a tie for 19th individually.
Senior Max Kollin started his round with a birdie and ended his round with a birdie and played the rest of the course 6-over on his way to a 76. He is tied for 46th individually at 10-over par for the tournament.
Keegan Vea's 80 on Saturday put his overall score a 158 (+14) and a tie for 59th while Brendon Doyle finished with an 83 in round two and is 20-over par and tied for 67th.
Indiana will start it's second round at 9:40 a.m. ET Saturday going off No. 10. Fans can follow all of the scores at GolfStat.com.
