Track and Field Ready for Tiger Track Classic
 
The Indiana Track and Field team will be heading south to compete in the Tiger Track Classic this weekend. The meet will be hosted by Auburn University at the Hutsell-Rosen Track. The Hoosiers will send roughly 60 athletes to participate in the meet.
 
Field events will begin on Friday with the men's hammer throw at 2:00PM. Laura Schroeder will attempt to build on her school record in the women's hammer throw at 4:00PM. Friday's action will conclude with the men's 5,000m run.
 
Saturday's slate will get kicked off with the men's high jump, which will start at 11:00AM. Sophie Gutermuth and Sydney Clute will both be competing in the invitational section of the women's pole vault. They rank as third and fifth, respectively, on the all-time outdoor pole vault list. Freshmen Willie Morrison, currently holds the seventh best throw in school history, and David Schall will represent the Hoosiers in the shot put.
 
The running events will start with the 4x100m relay at noon. Daniel Kuhn and Riley Egbula will be running in the 400m dash. Kuhn is second in program history in the 800m run, and Egbula is tenth in the record book in the 400m dash. They will race at approximately 1:25PM and 1:45PM. Indiana will have six runners in the women's 800m including Brenna Calder and Brianna Johnson. Calder has the ninth best time in the 1,500m. Johnson is sixth in the steeplechase and the 1,500m run. Twins Kelsey Harris and Haley Harris will run in the 3,000m steeplechase starting at about 5:00PM. The final event with Hoosier representation will be the men's 4x400m relay starting at 5:45PM.
