Hart Named to ABCA/Rawlings Mideast All-Region Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana Baseball LHP Kyle Hart has been selected to the 2016 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Mideast All-Region Second Team, the ABCA announced on Wednesday. The teams are voted on by members of the ABCA.
Indiana's Friday night starter in 2016, Hart made 59 career starts on the mound for the Hoosiers. He finished first in the Big Ten and tied for 16th nationally in victories (10), while also placing seventh in the conference innings pitched (98.1) and seventh in strikeouts (79).
The Ohio native has 31 career wins, which ranks second all-time in school history, while his 338.2 career innings is also second and his 237 career strikeouts puts him fourth in the school annals. Hart ranks second in IU history with 17 career wins in Big Ten games. His 3.38 career ERA in conference action ranks ninth and his 127 strikeouts ranks second.
A First Team All-Big Ten selection in 2016, Hart was a 19th round draft choice in the MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox last Saturday.
