Senior Allison Hammond led the Hoosiers (11-2) with 17 kills and junior Jessica Leish played one of her best matches of her career with 12 kills. Sophomore Elizabeth Asdell added six kills and freshman Hayden Huybers put away five balls and hit .357 in the match. Huybers added two of the Hoosier five aces.

The Hoosiers never trailed for the remainder of the set, but Cleveland State kept it close and got to within one point at 22-21.
After an Indiana timeout the Hoosiers forced the Vikings into a pair of attack errors, which included a block by McDonald and Leish to put Indiana up 24-21.
