Hoosiers Win San Francisco Invitational

SAN FRANCISCO – For the sixth time in school history the Hoosiers have started the season 7-0 after a sweep of Princeton (25-20, 25-20, 25-17) Saturday at War Memorial Gym.
The Hoosiers hit a blistering .500 for the match, the third best in school history for a three-set match. In the first set Indiana recorded 20 kills and hit .667.
Senior Allison Hammond led the Hoosiers with 14 kills on 21 attempts and senior Jazzmine McDonald hit .727 with eight kills and no errors.
Senior Megan Tallman moved into fifth on the Hoosiers all-time list for career assists and now has 3,130.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to Ft. Myers, Fla., Sept. 9-10 for the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational.
