BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University men's and women's swimming and diving teams debuted the third installment of the GRIT series on Wednesday featuring Gia Dalesandro.
The GRIT series focuses on members of the Indiana Swimming & Diving team and what GRIT means to them. The video series hopes to give fans a glimpse in to the minds of members of the Indiana Swimming & Diving program.
"Gia has been the heart and soul of our women's team the last three and a half years," IU head swimming coach Ray Looze said. "Her quest to elevate our program has led to such individual accolades as representing the USA at the Pan American Games, becoming a member of the USA National team, seven NCAA All America honors, Big Ten Freshman of the Year accolades and being named a team captain. Her career at IU will already go down as one of the most accomplished in recent memory."
