Feb. 15, 2017
• For the seventh time this year, Indiana shot 80-pecent or higher from the free throw line after connecting on 15-of-18 (83.3) at Minnesota.
• The 51 total rebounds mark the fourth time this season – and second time in Big Ten play – that the Hoosiers have hauled in 50 or more rebounds.
• Out of those 51 overall rebounds, 20 came on the offensive glass – the second-most in a game this season (22 vs. Nebraska).
• Those 20 offensive rebounds led to 24 second chance points, which is tied for the most in a game this season for the Hoosiers (vs. Nebraska).
• Also for the fourth time this year – and second time in conference play – the Hoosiers attempted 70 or more shots, getting 75 attempts up against the Gophers.
• Indiana junior guard James Blackmon Jr. finished with 22 points and now has 1,115 for his career to tie Troy Williams for 40th all-time in IU history. He also finished with six rebounds in the game and made 4 three-point field goals – his 12th game (out of 23 he has played) that he has made at least four triples this season.
• It is also the ninth game of 20+ points this season for Blackmon and the 22nd such game in his career.
• Sophomore Juwan Morgan came off the bench to score 14 points – highlighted by 7-of-7 at the free throw line – and grabbed seven rebounds while blocking two shots.
• Redshirt junior Josh Newkirk tallied 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
• Freshman De'Ron Davis contributed 10 points and five rebounds while being limited to just nine minutes due to foul trouble.
• Thomas Bryant gave the Hoosiers a one-point lead with a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left. He would finish with eight points and 10 rebounds – his ninth game this season with 10+ rebounds.
• Junior Freddie McSwain Jr., finished with four points and five rebounds in his nine minutes off the bench.
