
Hoosiers Notch Seventh Straight Win

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team (7-0) closed out a five-match home stand with a 4-1 win over the Louisville Cardinals on Wednesday night in the IU Tennis Center.
In doubles, freshmen Bennett Crane and Zac Brodney notched a 6-2 win at three doubles. After falling in a deciding tiebreaker at the No. 2 doubles spot, the Hoosiers lost their first doubles point of the season.
The Hoosiers bounced back from the doubles loss to get four wins at singles. At the top spot, junior Raheel Manji won 7-5, 6-0. Senior Matthew McCoy won his match 6-2, 6-0 to improve to 4-1 on the season. Crane kept his undefeated record alive with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles. Leading 3-1, sophomore Antonio Cembellin secured the Hoosiers seventh straight victory with a win at No. 3 singles.
Up next, the Hoosiers travel to Champaign, Ill. for their first Big Ten match of the season against the Illinois Fighting Illini, Friday Feb. 10 at 6:00 PM.
