Indiana vs. #16/18 Purdue
• IU dished out 11 assists, the 22nd time in 25 games with at least 10 assists this season.
• The Hoosiers connected on eight of their 3-point attempts tonight, the 15th game this season IU has hit at least eight attempts from behind the arc.
• IU's defense forced Purdue into 12 turnovers, turning those extra possessions into 13 points.
• The Hoosiers also held Purdue to 6-of-21 shooting from the 3-point line (28.6 percent). The Boilermakers entered the game shooting 42.3 percent from long range.
• Thomas Bryant paced the Hoosiers with 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting. Bryant added two steals and three rebounds to his stat line. Over the last seven games the sophomore is averaging 18.4 points per game. He has scored 20 or more points in four games this season.
• Robert Johnson notched eight points for the Hoosiers. Including his first half make, Johnson has connected on at least one 3-point field goal attempt in every conference game this season.
• Indiana turned 11 offensive rebounds into 15 second chance points.
• Josh Newkirk hauled in a team high eight rebounds. Newkirk also scored eight points including 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
• De'Ron Davis blocked one shot and grabbed two rebounds in 14 minutes of playing time.
• Juwan Morgan started his 15th game of the season. Morgan ended the night with seven points, six rebounds and a steal.
• Zach McRoberts snagged five rebounds, including an offensive rebound put-back in the first half. McRoberts also added one assist and a block.
• Freddie McSwain Jr. provided solid minutes off of the bench, contributing five points on 2-for-2 shooting and grabbing five rebounds. McSwain led the team with four offensive rebounds.
• James Blackmon Jr. returned to action and earned a starting spot after sitting out the last three contests. Blackmon scored 11 points while handing out four assists. He has netted double-figure scoring in 20 of his 21 games played this season.
