No. 15 Hoosiers Fall to No. 1 USC

MANOA, Hawaii – The Indiana water polo team dropped a 15-2 game against No. 1 Southern California in the Hoosiers first game in Hawaii later Thursday night.
With the victory, USC broke the NCAA record for longest winning streak in women's water polo history, which now stands at 47.
After falling behind 2-0, the Hoosiers (13-5) got on the board with a goal from Sarah Myers at the 4:29 mark of the opening period. Southern California went on to score three more goals to take a 5-1 lead after the first period.
The Trojans scored the next nine goals of the game before Kelly Matthews put one in at the 6:12 mark of the fourth period.
Junior goalkeeper Jessica Gaudreault made nine saves and tallied one steal for the Hoosiers.
