
Hoosiers Wrap-Up Competition at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – Indiana Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the Bradley Pink Classic Friday afternoon.
The men's team went into the weekend ranked 21st in the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) National Coaches Poll. They continued their strong competition by placing fifth out of 33 teams with 236 points.
Hunter Moore led the way for the Indiana squad in the 8k Championship race as he placed eighth overall with a time of 24:43.2. Reese Jordan was the second Hoosier to see the finish line, placing 18th overall in a time of 24:59.9. Kenneth Hagen clocked in at 25:41.1 as he finished third for Indiana and 62nd overall. Teammates Cooper Williams (25:49.6) and Jackson Jett (25:51.3) finished almost back to back as they placed 76th and 78th, respectively. Ted Browning was next to cross the finish line for the Hoosiers in 26:11.6 to place 114th. Rounding out competition for Indiana was Aaron Bennett with 26:14.5.
The women's team went into the weekend ranked 11th in the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) National Coaches Poll. They finished 30th overall on Friday afternoon.
Hannah Stoffel finished first for the Hoosiers in the 6k Championship race and 60th overall in a time of 21:53.4. Next, Grace Walther crossed the finish line in 22:05.9, placing 89th. Joely Pinkston was the third Hoosier to finish as she took 223rd (23:26.1). Lorena Daugherty (23:33.5) and Amy Smith (23:34.5) crossed the line 231st and 235th respectively, to round out the field for Indiana.
Eight Hoosiers ran unattached on Friday afternoon. For the men, Matthew Sadler placed 17th overall, clocking a time of 24:55.2. Following close behind, Keelan Grant took 19th (24:58.0). Jake Gebhardt notched a 24th place finish as he crossed the finish line in 25:04.5. Freshman, Matt Yoder finished in a time of 25:47.4 to take 80th while Ben Miller placed 94th (25:59.0). Rounding out the field, Collin Murphy snagged 115th, clocking a time of 26:09.3. On the women's side, Jenna Barker ran a 22:04.7 to take 89th with Abi Little not far behind in 96th to clock a 22:09.6. Ana Barrott finished in 153rd in 22:38.8.
The Hoosiers will return to action tomorrow Saturday Oct. 13 in Madison, Wisc. at Pre-Nationals. Competition is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EST.
