BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball secured a 3-0 sweep over Ohio State and completed the season sweep with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-22 win on Friday at University Gym.
Key Moments
"I think the most important thing we did tonight was the Dig Pink event. My mother had breast cancer and it is an important thing for me to acknowledge the people and the effort and the energy. Not only to the people we lost but to the people who are battling it. Just knowing that our little part of the world that we are trying our best to raise money and do the right thing for such a terrible thing. Cancer effects everyone, it's a lot more important than any ball game that we play."
"On the other hand, I think we played great tonight, start to finish. Had a little bit of a push back in game three from Ohio State. It's a mistake in this conference to believe that you win a match and all the sudden you've arrived. I mean we've won matches and we've been humbled by people and kind of beat up by really good teams. Ohio State is battling a ton of injury, they are missing some really good players. He's (Geoff Carlston) done an amazing job at trying to piece it together and duct tape it. But at the end of the day I am proud of my kids, that is an injured Ohio State team that we were very fortunate to beat. I am also proud of the community; the fans are great. The student section deserves a shout out every time we do this."
