Indiana Head Coach Steve Aird
"Great match by Maryland. The obvious is that almost everyone in that program I brought there and for good reason, I think they are a really good team. I think Adam (Hughes) is a great young coach and the staff is great and the kids, Erika (Pritchard) is pretty good. Katie (Myers) has a leadership thing about her that every good program and business, any ecosystem needs a kid like Katie Myers. Regardless of how she played today or didn't play, you just know that any team that she is around is going to be ready to go."
"A tough loss for me because I want to be competitive and I didn't think we were that competitive. That is on me. I didn't do a great job with the team and getting us ready. I hate when coaches make excuses for why they got beat. We got beat. We got outcoached. We got outplayed. That is kind of it. I think that is it. I'm a competitive guy. I'm upset we lost, happy for them, good people, I'm sure there are a lot of happy people in College Park and good for them and life goes on."
