No. 2 Indiana Heads to Ohio State on Wednesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will head to Columbus, Ohio to face Big Ten rival Ohio State on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Wednesday's match in Columbus at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is slated for a 7:00 p.m. ET start. The match will be streamed live on BTN2Go.com. Live stats are available at IUHoosiers.com.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Hoosiers enter the match with a 6-0 record in the Big Ten. IU would win the outright Big Ten regular season championship with a win. A draw would secure a share of the title.
• The Hoosiers are unbeaten in the team's last 34 matches against Big Ten opponents, posting a record of 21-0-13. Indiana's last loss to a league foe was at Ohio State on Oct. 10, 2015.
• Andrew Gutman leads the Hoosiers with eight goals, while Trevor Swartz has recorded a Big Ten-best 10 assists on the season.

SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES
• The Ohio State Buckeyes enter Wednesday's match with an overall record of 1-12-2.
• OSU sits in ninth place in the Big Ten with a mark of 0-5-1.
• The Buckeyes' lone win this season came over Hofstra, 1-0, on Aug. 26. The two draws came against Bowling Green (1-1, Sept. 11) and Northwestern (0-0, Sept. 21).
• Since the draw against the Wildcats, the Buckeyes have lost their last seven matches.
• Devyn Etling leads OSU with three goals on the year, while Jake Schepper has a team-best three assists.
• Ohio State has scored seven goals this season while allowing 30.
• The Buckeyes are led by first-year head coach Brian Maisonneuve, a former IU standout and long-time Hoosier associate head coach.

• In the overall series between the Hoosiers and the Buckeyes, Indiana leads Ohio State, 42-5-4.

• Swartz scored the match-winner in the 84th minute at Rutgers and also had two assists in IU's win over Butler.

DORSEY, RENNICKS NAMED TO U-20 TEAM
• Indiana's Griffin Dorsey and Justin Rennicks were named to the U.S. U-20 National Team for the 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
• The 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship will run from Nov. 1-21 in Bradenton, Fla.

SWARTZ DISHING OUT THE ASSISTS
• Trevor Swartz leads the Hoosiers and the Big Ten with 10 assists on the season.
• The redshirt senior ranks fourth in the NCAA, just one behind the three national leaders.
• Swartz's 10 assists are the most for any Hoosier in a season since A.J. Corrado had 12 in 2012.

GUTMAN LEADS IU PAST MARYLAND
• Andrew Gutman scored two goal, including the match-winner with just 18 seconds left in regulation, to lead IU over Maryland on Oct. 10.
• Gutman's winner with 18 seconds left is the latest match-winner for the Hoosiers in regulation since Will Bruin's goal with 11 seconds remaining in a 3-2 win at Penn State on Sept. 24, 2010.
• IU's win over Maryland was the team's first since 2004.

BALANCED ATTACK
• Through 15 matches this season, Indiana has had 10 different players score goals, led by Andrew Gutman with eight.
• 13 different players have tallied assists, led by Trevor Swartz (10), Andrew Gutman (6) and Spencer Glass (6).
• In 2017, 12 different players scored goals, while 15 had assists.
