No. 2 Hoosiers Fall on the Road at No. 4 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team fell on the road to the No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats, 3-0, in front of a record crowd of 3,503 at the Bell Soccer Complex in Lexington, Ky. on Wednesday night.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Wildcats (9-0-1) took an early lead on the match's first shot, as J.J. Williams struck from the top of the box to give UK a 1-0 advantage.
• Indiana (9-2) had a good look at the equalizer in the 53rd minute, but A.J. Palazzolo's header from eight yards out off a cross from Andrew Gutman went wide.
• In the 63rd minute, Indiana's Francesco Moore's effort from six-yards out on the left side was saved at the near post by the Wildcat goalkeeper.
• With seven minutes left, IU had a pair of chances. Justin Rennicks' shot on a cross from Griffin Dorsey was blocked out of play. On the ensuing corner kick, Timmy Mehl's header missed just high of the crossbar.
• In the 85th minute, UK's Jason Reyes scored off a rebound from a free kick to double the Wildcats' lead. In the 88th, UK's Williams added another on a breakaway with IU pushing forward.

• The goal surrendered by the Hoosiers in the third minute was the first allowed by IU in a first half all season.
• The setback to Kentucky snapped IU's nine-match winning streak, which was the longest for the team since 2003.
