No. 2 Indiana Upends No. 14 Michigan on the Road, 1-0

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team defeated No. 14 Michigan, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon in a match-up of the two top teams in the Big Ten standings.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 56th minute, the Hoosiers (10-2, 4-0 Big Ten) took the lead on a goal from Rece Buckmaster. Griffin Dorsey made a great run down the middle of the pitch and played a great pass to Buckmaster on the right. The senior finished with his right foot, beating the Michigan (8-2-1, 3-1-1) keeper to the far-left post.
• IU goalkeeper Trey Muse was outstanding on the day for the Hoosiers, making one save in posting his fifth solo shutout of the season.
• After the goal, Indiana's defense was terrific, withstanding an offensive onslaught from the Wolverines. U-M fired six shots in the final 35 minutes.
NOTABLES
• With the victory, Indiana is 4-0 in Big Ten conference play for the first time since 2004. IU sits atop the Big Ten standings with 12 points, two points clear of second-place Michigan.
• Also with the win, IU extends its unbeaten streak after regular season losses to eight matches. The Hoosiers are 5-0-3 during the stretch and have not lost back-to-back games since the 2013 season.
• Indiana is 5-2 against ranked opponents this season, including road wins at No. 14 Michigan, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 8 Notre Dame.
• Through 12 matches this season, IU has scored 26 goals, the most for the team since scoring 32 in the first 12 games in 1998.
