Cembellin Receives Bid in ITA Fall National Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana senior Antonio Cembellin received an at-large bid for the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championship taking place in Surprise, Ariz. from Nov. 7-11, the ITA announced Tuesday.
The event features 64 of the nation's top men's collegiate singles players. Along with IU, Illinois, Iowa, and Ohio State will represent the Big Ten.
Cembellin earned an at large bid by way of his standout fall results and national ranking. He is the first Hoosier ever to earn an at-large entry into the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. Previously known as the ITA National Indoor Championships, the last Hoosiers to compete in this event were Daniel Bednarczyk and Sam Monette. In 2015, Monette captured the ITA Ohio Valley Regional singles title and then teamed up with Bednarczyk to capture the doubles title earning them entry into the singles and doubles events respectively.
Draws have yet to be released but the tournament schedule is as followed:
Wednesday, Nov. 7 – 8 AM: Round of 64
Thursday, Nov. 8 – 8 AM: Round of 32
Friday, Nov. 9 – 9 AM: Round of 16 and Quarterfinal
Saturday, Nov. 10 – 10 AM: Semifinal
Sunday, Nov. 11 – 10 AM: Championship (Final rounds will be shown live WatchESPN)
