Top 25 Machine
Junior Brock Ochsenreiter enters the Maridoe Intercollegiate having finished inside the Top 25 in six of his last seven tournaments dating back to the 2017-18 season. He has also had seven straight rounds of 74 or better this season.
IU Connection To Maridoe Golf Club
The architect of the Maridoe Golf Club is Steve Smyers, who is also the architect for the IU Championship Golf Course that is under renovation.
Top Returners
On paper, the two top returners are redshirt senior Jake Brown and junior Brock Ochsenreiter. Brown is coming off an individual appearance in the NCAA Bryan Regional, where he finished T14 at 1-under par. Ochsenreiter narrowly missed an individual bid to the NCAA postseason and comes in at the top spot in the lineup to start the year after winning the 6-round qualifier the team had leading up to the start of the year.
Newcomers
The Hoosiers welcome a pair of freshmen to the fold this season, and both will be making their collegiate debuts as individuals at the Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational. Mitch Davis (Valparaiso, Ind.) is a heralded recruit from the state of Indiana that has had a decorated junior career in the state and on the national stage. Harry Reynolds (Greenville, S.C.) won multiple times in South Carolina on the junior circuit and helped his high school team to their fifth straight team championship.
