Parsons’ T20 Finish At Medinah Leads The Way for Hoosiers

Although the Hoosiers posted a team score of 290 on Tuesday in the final round of the Illini Invitational at Medinah, they were unable to move up the team leaderboard and settled for a tie for 10th place with Wisconsin. There were a number of individual highlights as noted below.
CHIP-INS
• While competing as an individual, so her score did not count towards the team score, sophomore Mary Parsons closed with a 2-under par round of 70 to tie for 20th overall with a score of 215 (74-71-70; -1). Her final round featured four birdies and two bogeys.
• Marks the eighth time Parsons has finished T20 or better in 12 career events.
• Despite a final round 75, graduate transfer Kari Bellville was still able to tie for 25th individually with a score of 216 (69-72-75; Even). It is her first Top 25 finish since a fourth-place finish at the Chip-N Club Invitational Oct. 5-6, 2015 while a member of the Notre Dame women's golf team.
• The Even par score is tied for the best score in relation to par in Bellville's career. She also finished Even par at the Chip-N Club Invitational in October of 2015 while at Notre Dame.
• Senior Erin Harper earned a share of 27th place with a score of 217 (73-72-72; +1). In her final round, she ran off a string of three straight birdies on holes 16, 17 and 18 to get back to even par on the day after tough start.
• Harper has played eight rounds this season and six of them have resulted in scores of 72 or better.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski had the best round of her brief career, using six birdies to post a 2-under 70 in the final round. She finished the tournament tied for 33rd with a score of 218 (73-75-70; +2).
• Miestowski tied for the tournament lead in Par 3 scoring, playing the Par 3's in 3-under par over the three rounds.
• Priscilla Schmid tied for 43rd with a score of 220 (76-71-73; +4) after her final round 73 that included two birdies and three bogeys.
• Angela Aung closed the event with her third consecutive score of 77 to put her in a tie for 79th with a total score of 231 (77-77-77; +15).
