BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team endured a five-set battle (25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 22-25, 15-8) with the Iowa Hawkeyes for a win at University Gym on Friday.

"Fun match tonight, I think at this time of the year it really is about will over skill at times. I think that is a really good team, really well coached, I love the edge they play with. I think they are a tough team to compete against. I like teams that are up for the battle and Iowa is that. They play hard, they have a few seniors that play with an edge and I really respect that. It was kind of a tail of two matches, the first two sets games we played well and executed the game plan then Iowa fought back. They threw a few punches and we got soft in the end. That kind of carried over in the fourth, I just thought we were soft at times. We were mentally tough in game five, just mentally really tough. We missed the serve to start then we played the game the right way. It was a must win match."
"I think for a young group, playing four or five kids sophomore or younger, we didn't play great but we answered the call when we had to. Breana played amazing tonight, from where she came from at the start of the year to where she is now, the kid is phenomenal. I have told them that not every kid on the team is going to be great every night, there are going to be nights where a few of your teammates don't have it or are off. This is a team sport."
