BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team lost a three-set match (13-25, 19-25, 19-25) against the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday at University Gym.

Key Moments

At 10-14 in the first set, Nebraska scored seven consecutive points extending their lead to 11-20. Nebraska won the set 13-25.
The Hoosiers kept the second set close with 10 ties, but the Cornhuskers pulled away with a 10-3 run at 10-10 extending their lead to 20-13. The Cornhuskers closed the set at 25-19.
At 12-21 in the third set, the Hoosiers scored seven of the next 10 points bringing them to 19-24. The Cornhuskers closed the match at 19-25.

Notables

Indiana volleyball's record is now 16-13 overall and 7-11 in conference play. Nebraska improves to 22-6 overall and 13-5 in Big Ten play.
Bayli Lebo is now tied for second in IU school history for single season digs after recording 11 against Nebraska. She now has 488 for the season.
Lexi Johnson led the Hoosiers with eight kills in tonight's match and hit .375.
Kamryn Malloy recorded the team's only ace against Nebraska.
Elizabeth Asdell hit .625 in the match while scoring five kills.
Victoria Brisack recorded a double-double against Nebraska with 18 assists and 10 digs.

"Full credit to Nebraska, they were good tonight. They played pretty clean. Obviously one of the better teams in the country. The gap between them and us is real. I thought the kids competed, just didn't quite have enough. At the end of the day, they are hoping to do some big things and we are hoping to get better and be competitive in the next few games. So, we will not spend a lot of time thinking about this and move on to the next one."
