• With the win, Indiana now leads the series with Butler, 39-15. IU has won two of the last three meetings, both coming in the Crossroads Classic.
• IU is now 5-3 in the eight-year history of event and shares the best record among the four participating schools with Butler. IU is 3-1 against Notre Dame and 2-2 against the Bulldogs.
• IU has now won 4 games in a row by a combined 8 points after today's 71-68 triumph.
• In each of IU's last 5 wins, the Hoosiers have overcome a deficit. IU trailed by 11 with 6:21 to go in the first half and trailed 59-50 with 10:36 to go. IU outscored the Bulldogs, 21-9, the rest of the way. IU trailed against UC Davis (14), Northwestern (5), Penn State (9), and Louisville (8).
• The Hoosiers are now 17-2 in two seasons under Archie Miller when holding an opponent under 70 points.
•In IU's last three wins in the Crossroads Classic, the Hoosiers overcame deficits of 16 (Notre Dame, 2015), 14 (Notre Dame, 2017) and 11 (Butler, 2018).

• Senior Juwan Morgan had a career-high 35 points, besting his previous Crossroads Classic record of 34 points last season. He finished his three-game event career with 75 points (2nd all-time to Notre Dame's Bonzie Colson 80) and averaged 25 points per game (2nd to Caleb Swanigan of Purdue who averaged 25.1).
• His 12 field goals made is second only to his 13 made a season ago in this event.
• He became the 52nd player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark in his career and surpassed Jared Jeffries for 51st on the school's all-time list and has scored 1,020 career points. The continues a streak of at least one player from each recruiting class from 2008-15 (11 players) to reach the 1,000 point mark in his career.
• Morgan tied the game at 64-64 with two free throws with 3:54 left and gave IU its first lead at 66-64with a layup with 3:05 to go.
• Freshman Rob Phinisee continued his late game heroics, with a game-winning 30-foot heave. He finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in 27 minutes. He also hit a game-tying three-pointer in the final minute at Arkansas, had 7 straight points late in the second half at Penn State and hit the go-ahead triple with 1:22 left over Louisville. He is shooting 42.8% from three-point range this season (12/28).
• Freshman Romeo Langford finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He is the only Hoosiers to score in double figures in all 11 games this season.
• Sophomore Justin Smith scored 7 points, including 5 key points in the second half. He hit a go-ahead dunk with 39 seconds to go to give the lead back to IU.
• Junior Devonte Green had 5 points and 5 assists in 21 minutes, including the game-winning assist on Phinisee's game-winner. Grad transfer Evan Fitzner had one basket in 9 minutes.
• The Hoosiers will close out 2018 with home games against Central Arkansas (December 19) and Jacksonville (December 22).
