In-State Matchup Set For Wednesday As Indiana Hosts Butler

Butler will also come in to Wednesday's game without a blemish on its record after a 64-47 win over Ball State on Sunday. It will also mark their first road game of the season, having played all six in Hinkle Fieldhouse. they are led by reds\hirt senior guard Whitney Jennings (15.0 ppg., 2.8 apg., 3.3 spg.) and junior guard Kristen Spolyar (13.7 ppg.) while senior center Tori Schickel adds a team-high 9.3 rpg. and 13.3 ppg. The Bulldogs are holding opponents to just 48.7 ppg. and have outscored its six opponents by 28.2 points. In the preseason, Butler was picked to finish seventh overall in the Big East.

- The Hoosiers are fresh off a 67-65 win at UCLA on Sunday to keep them undefeated on the season. Sophomore guard Jaelynn Penn hit a 3-pointer with 29 seconds left that would be the difference maker for Indiana. Penn along with redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg each added 17 points in the victory.
- With Notre Dame's loss at home on Sunday, Indiana now owns the nation's longest active win streak at 13 games. IU also has the eighth longest active home win streak in 15 games which is also the longest in the Big Ten.
- IU also received votes in this week's polls, coming in with five in the AP Top 25 and a vote in the USA Today Coaches Poll. They are one of eight Big Ten teams to be ranked or receiving votes.
- Patberg's performance last week led her to a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll. For the week, the Columbus, Ind. Native averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 assist, 5.0 rebounds and shot over 50 percent from the floor in wins at Wake Forest and UCLA. Patberg went 51.9 percent from the floor, 80 percent from the 3-point line and 88 percent from the free throw line. She also held a 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, as she committed just one turnover against the Bruins. She set a new career-high 30 points at Wake Forest and nearly missed a triple double with 17 points, nine rebounds and eight assists at UCLA.
- Improving to 7-0 with the win on Sunday, Indiana continues on its best start under fifth-year head coach Teri Moren. It also continues the best start since 2013-14 when the Hoosiers won 14-straight to open up the season.
