Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill capped off their playing careers by combining for 53 points in an 83-75 win over Nebraska on Saturday afternoon. Buss paced Indiana with a season-high 37 points, five assists and five rebounds while finishing one shy of her career-high while Cahill recorded her 10th double-double of the season and 39th of her career with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks. Her seven blocks tied the second-best single game performance at Indiana.
SEVEN-STRAIGHT
The Hoosiers picked up their seventh-consecutive win on Saturday in an 83-75 triumph over second-place Nebraska. It marked the longest win streak in Big Ten play since 1982-83 when IU won eight-in-a-row. It also ties the second-longest streak under head coach Teri Moren, who's program in 2016-17 won seven-straight games from Dec. 6-Dec. 31, 2016.
STATS IN THE STREAK
Through its seven-game win streak, Indiana has averaged 69.3 points and shot 44.5 percent from the field. Buss leads the way with 23.4 points and 4.7 assists while Cahill contributes 17.4 points and shooting 48.8 percent from the floor and 90 percent from the free throw line to go along with 8.1 rebounds. Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn (10.7 ppg.) and junior forward Kym Royster (10.3) each have averaged double digits.
Indiana has battled in its share of close
games this season, deciding 12 games by eight points or less. The Hoosiers are 7-6 in games decided by eight points or less this season. Eight of those games have come in Big Ten play including the Monday night win at Purdue, which IU took home the win 52-44.

CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill set another career milestone against Wisconsin on Jan. 24, as she grabbed her 1,000th rebound. She became the third player to record 1,000 rebounds along with Denise Jackson (1,273) and Whitney Thomas (1,090) to reach the career milestone. She's just the second-ever player to record over 1,700 points and 1,000 rebounds. She ranks seventh all-time in scoring (1,722), third all-time in rebounds (1,042), third in all-time double-doubles (39) and seventh in blocks (121). She is also seventh amongst all active Division I players in rebounds.
PENN PUTS UP POINTS
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn continues to put up solid numbers for Indiana in her freshman season. She has posted 11 games in double digits this season as she tied a season-high 21 points on Saturday against Nebraska. The Louisville, Ky. native is averaging 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in her freshman season. She ranks sixth in points per game amongst all Big Ten freshmen, tied for third in steals (1.1), tied for fifth in rebounding and sixth in assists (2.2). She is a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week selection as she picked up honors in back-to-back weeks on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 while starting every game for Indiana this season.

BUSS NAMED TO BIG TEN HONOR ROLL
Senior guard Tyra Buss earned a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll announced by the league on Feb. 19. The Mt. Carmel, Ill. native averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and made just one turnover in 79 minutes of action against Purdue and Nebraska to earn her third honor roll distinction this season. She also earned honors on Nov. 13 and on Feb. 8. It also marks the fourth weekly honor roll award for her career.
