OPENING TIP
• The 118th season of Indiana basketball continues on Friday when the Hoosiers host Ohio State in the regular season finale for both teams. Indiana is coming off a 66-57 loss at Nebraska, while OSU defeated Rutgers, 79-52 in Columbus. The Buckeyes won this season's earlier meeting between the two teams in Columbus, 71-56. IU has won the last 3 meetings in Assembly Hall dating back to the 2013-14 season.

• The Hoosiers will be either the No. 6 or No. 7 seed at next week's Big Ten Tournament in New York City.

• Following the game, the program will honor Collin Hartman, Robert Johnson, Freddie McSwain, Jr., Josh Newkirk and Tim Priller who will be playing the final game at home. In addition, managers Matt Chaffee, Chaz Snider, and Chandler Junk also will be recognized.

THE COACHES
• Archie Miller is the 29th head coach in Indiana men's basketball history. He won his 150th career game with the triumph over Northwestern on Jan. 14. The 39-year old native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, comes to IU after serving the previous six seasons as head coach at the University of Dayton, where he won Atlantic 10 Conference regular season championships in 2016 and 2017. He was Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year in 2017. He guided the Flyers to a 139-63 record (69.8) and a 68-34 mark (66.7) in the Atlantic 10. He took Dayton to the NCAA Tournament each of the last four years, with the Flyers advancing to the Elite Eight in the 2014 Tournament. UD was nationally ranked in 3 of Miller's 6 seasons (2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16).

• Chris Holtmann is in his 1st year of leading the Buckeyes. This will be his second game in Assembly Hall as a head coach. He was the head coach at Gardner Webb when they visited Assembly Hall in November 2011.

NEWS & NOTES
• In the last 5 games, IU is shooting 51.9% from the field and 43.2% from three-point range, while holding opponents to 38.4% shooting from the field and 29.9% from long distance.

• Senior Robert Johnson is averaging 17.8 points and shooting 56.9% from the field and 54.8% from long distance during the Hoosiers last 5 games. He scored a career-high 29 points at Iowa and tied an IU record by making 9 three-point field goals in the game (Rod Wilmont vs. Northwestern, 2007; Matt Roth vs. Ohio State, 2009). He is now in 23rd place on the IU all-time scoring list with 1,384 points and fourth on the school's all-time list with 234 treys.

• Junior Juwan Morgan continues to put together an All-Big Ten-type year. In the last 10 games, he has averaged 19.7 points and 7.6 rebounds and shot 58.6% from the floor. He had his 8th double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Illinois. He also tied his career-high with 4 steals and established a career-best with 5 blocked shots against the Illini. He has scored 20 points or more in 10 games this season, including 8 in the Big Ten. He leads the Hoosiers in scoring (16.5) and is among the league leaders in rebounds (7.3) and field goal percentage (58.4%). He is the most improved scorer in the Big Ten, averaging 8.8 points per game more overall and 10.6 points better in conference play when compared to last season. He is averaging 17.9 points in the Big Ten play.

• Sophomore Devonte Green has started the last 5 games and had 18 points and 6 assists against Iowa. In those 5 starts, he has averaged 10.6 points while making 10-of-15 three-point field goals (66.7%). He also has a team-high 21 assists. Earlier this season, he scored a career-high 20 points at Ohio State.

• Freshman Justin Smith is averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and is shooting 68.0% from the field in his last 3 games. He finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds at Nebraska and made 7 of his 11 field goal attempts. Last week, he had 15 points at Iowa and had 13 points and 3 rebounds against Illinois.
