Hoosiers Top Cornell, 6-1

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Indiana women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win on the road at Cornell on Friday at the Reis Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers improve to 10-2 on the season, their best start since the 2010-11 season.
It started with doubles victories from Natalie Whalen and Olga Zavarotnaya and Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey to give the Hoosiers the doubles point. Indiana has now only lost the doubles point in one of their 12 matches this season.
Indiana won five of six first sets in singles and got straight set wins from Natalie Whalen, Caitlin Bernard and Michelle McKamey to clinch the match.
Madison Appel improved to 9-0 in dual match singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win at the No. 1 singles position.
Up next the Hoosiers take on No. 25 Princeton in Princeton, N.J., on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
