PEORIA, Ariz. – Freshman Priscilla Schmid posted the lowest single round of her career with a 69 as she tied for ninth to lead Indiana to a seventh-place finish at the Westbrook Invitational on Monday.

Schmid notched the second top 10 finish of her career at the Westbrook Village Golf Club, where she birdied six holes en route to a 3-under finish on the day. She carded a 5-under finish (211) for the 54-hole tournament for her best three round score to date by eight strokes. She also improved her position by nine spots following the opening rounds where she sat in a tie for 18^th overall.

Freshman Mary Parsons also finished up the round with an even par performance, coming in with a 72 and 212 total (-4) to finish T-13^th. Junior Erin Harper came away with a T-24^th finish with her 1-over par play on Monday, combining for a total score of 214. Senior Alix Kong also carded a 73 and finished T-33^rd while sophomore Elisa Pierre rounded out the lineup with a T-48^th finish as she also tallied a 73 in the final round (219).

As a team, Indiana finished seventh place overall as it combined for an 853 to go 11-under for the tournament. It marked the second-highest finish in a three-round score in program history, only six strokes off the all-time school record of 847. Oklahoma took the top honors while Ohio State, Nebraska and host Wisconsin rounded out the top four.

Indiana is back in action March 5-6 at the Fresno State Classic in Fresno, Calif.
