Indiana Begins Road Swing with 4-3 Win

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – Led by a strong singles performance, the Indiana men's tennis team (5-3) began its stretch of three road matches with a 4-3 win over Middle Tennessee at Adams Tennis Complex. IU handed the Blue Raiders their first loss at home after a 6-0 start.
At doubles, the Hoosiers were edged at the two and three spots 6-4 and 6-3 to give the Blue Raiders the extra point.
Sophomore Zac Brodney gave IU its first point of the night when he won 6-4, 6-2 at the six singles spot. The Hoosiers climbed out to a 2-1 lead after senior Keivon Tabrizi won a straight set match at the third spot.
Back-and-forth the teams went as the Blue Raiders tied it moments before junior Antonio Cembellin ousted Tom Moonen, 7-5, 6-2 at the second spot.
When the Hoosiers needed it most, sophomore Bennett Crane stepped up to clinch the victory for Indiana in a three-set battle.
Next up, Indiana visits Lubbock, Texas to play the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4 PM.
