EVANSTON, Ill. – The Indiana women's tennis team played their second straight Big Ten match against a top-six nationally ranked team, but came up short with a 6-1 score on Saturday at the Combe Tennis Center in Evanston.

In singles the Hoosiers (12-5, 0-2) got first set wins from Natalie Whalen at No. 2 singles and Caitlin Bernard at No. 3 singles. Madison Appel came close as she dropped her first set on a tiebreak at the No. 1 singles position.
