Hoosiers Fall at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Indiana women's tennis team came up short on the road at Michigan State, 4-0, at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Friday.
Michigan State won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point and claim a 1-0 lead in the match.
For the Hoosiers (12-6, 0-3) Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey won their first sets in singles.
The Spartans won in straight sets at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles matches to clinch the overall match.
Appel led her match 6-4, 4-2 when it was stopped. After winning her first set, McKamey's match went to a third set and she was leading 1-0 in the third set when it was stopped.
Up next the Hoosiers will host their Big Ten home opener on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. ET against Minnesota.
